ANNOUNCEMENTS Prayers and Sympathy are extended to the friends and family of Pastor John Linna. Cards may be sent to : 1079 Rock Ledge Lane, Neenah, WI 54956 Pastor Linna , 70 years old, passed away in Neenah, WI, on February 15, 2010. He was born in Ishpeming, MI on May 21, 1939. Pastor Linna served as the pastor at United Lutheran Church for 37 years. A memorial service will be held at United in May. The exact date and time will be posted when available.
New 11:00 am. Sunday Worship Service Is 9:00 Sunday morning just too early for you? Your church family understands. Beginning March 7, a 11:00 worship service will be offered. The service will be informal, with less liturgy, will last no longer than 45 minutes. The service will feature a children’s sermon or “Lesson from Lily’s Pad” (puppet sermon) each week and the Kids’ Choir will sing periodically at this service. It’s important to take the time recharge our spiritual batteries.
Join in the fight against Malaria. During Wednesday night Lenten services the "loose offerings" will be used to purchase mosquito nets. The long lasting treated nets will protect sleepers from the insects carrying the parasite and cost only $10 each. No donation is too big or too small.
Lutheran World Relief Health Kits for Haiti WELCA is gathering items for health kits during Lent and ‘beyond’. A list of the items needed is available in the narthex. Please place items in the marked boxes in the Fellowship Hall. For more information call Anita Holmes at 875-6307.
Sunday Coffee Hour Women or men of the church are serving coffee following the 9 am. service each Sunday. United is asking pairs or trios of women or men to provide goodies for the Coffee Hour. If everyone takes a turn, each man or woman will only have to serve coffee 2-3 times a year. A list of duties and responsibilities is posted in the kitchen. Questions? Call the church office at 875-6591. Thanks to all for helping out ! Stuffed Animal Mission Caring Hearts is assisting the Outreach Program in sponsoring a "Stuffed Animal Mission." When you come to church you will see some new friends that need a home! Feel free to take one of these animals and keep it for yourself or give it to someone you know who is lonely or ill, or to someone who may just need "a friend" and would benefit from this gift. We are doing our best to find stuffed animals that are very clean, cuddly, and in excellent shape . If you have any animals to donate, please drop them off in the church office, and we'll make plans to give them a new home. Animals should be about 12" in height or length....not too small and not too large. If you have any questions, contact Bridget Bergwall 875-4321.
