The history of the United Lutheran Church begins in 1967 with the merger of the First Lutheran (Swedish) Church and the Emmanuel (Finnish) Church. On August 13, 1967 a special merger service was held at Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp. The Rev. John Linna was called to serve as Pastor of the newly formed United Lutheran Church. After the merger, Finnish services were continued monthly by Rev. A.H. Saarisuu until 1973. Pastor Linna served as the Pastor, along with several other intern and associate pastors, until his retirement in 2004. Pastor Mike Laakko is the current pastor of United.

SENIOR CHOIR (Practice Wednesday at 6 pm except during June - August)
HAND BELL CHOIR (Practice Sunday at 10:10 am. except during June - Sept.)
PRAISE BAND (Practice is usually the 2nd & 3rd Thurssday of the month. None in July and August)
RACHAEL CIRCLE BIBLE STUDY (Third Thursday of each month at 9:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. No studies June - Aug.)
GRACE CIRCLE BIBLE STUDY (Call the church office for the time and place.
PIECEMAKERS QUILTING GROUP - This group of men and women meet every Friday morning in the church Fellowship Hall from 9:00 - 11:30.
