Managing God's Gifts As we look ahead to the 2012 year, we will be having a fundraiser for the major project that needs to be addressed in the basement. Cracks and heaving in the old office/nursery area is pushing the wall inward off the original footing. The Board of Church Properties is currently trying to get a few estimates. We will announce the fundraiser when we get the estimate figures. Speaking of the Board of Church Properties, the church staff would like to acknowledge and thank Bud West for his many years of service as the Board of Church Properties chairman. His faith has shown itself through his more than 30 years of selfless service. We are also grateful to Gail Koski who is stepping down as bookkeeper after several years of a job well done. Her smiling face and calming nature will be missed around the office. Please notice the pizza order form included in this newsletter for the Youth fundraiser which is taking place on February 5 - Super Bowl Sunday. This is our third year of having this successful fundraiser and our goal is to sell between 175-200 pizzas. Even if you do not want to purchase a pizza, a monetary donation may be made to the Youth of United. The proceeds help pay for youth retreats, workshops, and release time and confirmation class parties. I must once again thank everyone for their faithful and generous support of our church. As you can see by the figures below, our general fund is doing okay thanks to all of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you, - it sure makes the bookkeeper and treasurer’s job less stressful.
